Birth can be empowering and positive when you feel supported, informed, and confident. I’m here to help you feel safely held - emotionally and physically - throughout your journey.
Whether this is your first baby or you’re adding to your family, I walk alongside you. I provide practical hands-on and emotional support that honours your strength, choices, and intuition.
I’ve outlined below the different services I offer in terms of birth, postnatal and virtual support. I know there’s a lot to think about when choosing a doula, so I’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions below.
Every Birth Support package includes both antenatal and postnatal session(s). The antenatal time is shaped around what matters most to you - it might include:
Understanding how birth works
Exploring your birth and postpartum plans
Trying out positions and breathwork
Finding the movements and comfort measures that feel right.
These sessions are a gentle, private space for you and your birth partner to share hopes, talk through any fears, and work through anything that feels like a barrier.
From eight days before your due date, I’m on call for you day and night. When labour begins, I’ll come to you - at home, a birth centre, or hospital - and stay for as long as you need. Whether you want hands-on help or a quiet, steady presence, I’ll be there, offering calm support until you and your baby are settled.
Every package includes at least one postnatal visit, where we can gently debrief your birth - a chance for you to tell your story, process the experience, and feel fully heard.
My signature and enhanced packages include additional postnatal visits. You can find more details about those extra visits in the Postnatal Support section.

My postnatal support is flexible and designed around the level of care that suits you - whether that’s a few hours a week or more regular help over several weeks or months. I offer calm reassurance and practical support to help you move through the early days with confidence and ease.
Every family is different, so your care is shaped around what feels right for you. Below is a glimpse of the support many parents find most valuable:
Caring for your newborn so you have space to rest, sleep, shower or simply have a moment for yourself.
Creating nourishing meals and snacks (I absolutely love to cook) for your family to support your postnatal recovery. Food to be provided by you.
Listening and debriefing your birth experience and holding space for anything on your mind or your partner’s.
Supporting your feeding choices and signposting to specialist services when needed.
Sharing evidence-based resources to help you make informed parenting decisions.
Helping with light housework, laundry, shopping, errands, and meal planning.
Looking after siblings, including school or nursery runs, and caring for pets.
Accompanying you to appointments, supporting you after a caesarean birth, or joining you on trips out.

I’ll be there to guide you through preparation, answer your questions, support you in real time during labour as well as check-in postnatally.
Whether you’re unable to have in-person support due to location or personal preference, my virtual support offers flexibility and still means you’ll always have a calm, steady voice by your side, no matter where you are.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A doula is someone who offers continuous emotional, physical, and practical support during pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood. I’m not a medical professional – my role is to focus entirely on you and your experience. That means helping you feel relaxed, informed, and supported, whatever kind of birth you’re planning. I’m there to listen, reassure, and help you navigate your options so you can feel confident and cared for every step of the way.
-
Having a doula by your side can make a real difference. Research shows that people supported by doulas often have shorter labours, fewer interventions, and feel more positive about their birth experience. But beyond the evidence, it’s about how you feel – having someone who can keep you grounded when things get intense and who makes sure your voice is heard. My job is to hold space for you, so you can focus on doing what comes naturally.
-
Yes, definitely. A doula supports both of you. I help partners feel confident in how to support you, whether that’s through hands-on comfort, words of reassurance, or simply being present and calm. Many partners say that having a doula helped them relax and feel more involved, knowing someone experienced was there to guide and steady things along the way.
-
Anytime that feels right for you. Some people like to get in touch early in pregnancy to have plenty of time to prepare together, while others reach out later when they start thinking more about birth. What matters most is finding someone you connect with and trust. Once we start working together, I’m there for you throughout, getting to know you and your hopes for birth so you feel fully supported.

I live in Hertford in Hertfordshire and cover anywhere that is within 1 hour’s drive from Hertford. I am happy to discuss location so do email or call me.
-
If you’re interested in working with me, the first step is to book an initial chat. It’s a relaxed, friendly conversation where we can talk about what you’re looking for and see if we feel like a good fit.
If you decide you’d like me to be your doula, we’ll go through my packages, fees, and availability together, and then confirm your booking with a simple agreement to secure your spot. The agreement simply outlines the terms of my services and our commitment to one another.
-
Yes, I do take a deposit to secure your booking. I generally take half of the full fee, with the remaining balance due closer to your birth. However, I know everyone’s circumstances are different so I’m happy to arrange a payment plan that works for you. Just let me know in our connection call and we can discuss frequency.
